Weekday Lineup

Rick Kelly – 5am to 9am

Rick worked at several stations in Pueblo, Colorado and Laramie, Wyoming, before moving to Las Vegas in 1986. He had been on the radio there for 30 years. Some of his favorite Country Music moments were sitting down with King George Strait in a round table discussion, introducing Reba/Brooks & Dunn to NAtional Media for their run at Caesar Palace and being the worst security guard ever for Thomas Rhett at The Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay. He has really fallen in love with The Valley of The Sun, and is happy to be working alongside some of the nicest and most talented people in the industry at 96.3 Real Country! Country music has the best and most loyal fans. “Our Listeners at 96.3 Real Country already feel like family to me”.

Maggie Brown – 9am to 2pm

Hello my name is Maggie Brown! I’m so excited to be the newest member of the team at 96.3 Real Country! Born and raised in New Jersey but have lived in many different states because working in radio keeps you moving! I love boating and have two crazy pups. Anything that has to do with being outside, count me in! I’ve completed in three half marathons and will run my first full marathon soon… wish me luck!

AJ – 2pm to 6pm

AJ loves being here in the valley of the sun. Listening to country music and meeting some of his favorite bands encompassing various genres.

Big Mike “Frank & Dotties Country Memories” – 6pm to 7pm

Frank & Dotties Country Memories  honors my Mom and Dad who are deceased.  They loved Country Music and taking trips  down memory lane.  This hour we play the best Country Music from the 50″, 60″s, 70’s and 80’s.  Love you Mom & Dad!

Nick Bonsanto – 7pm to 11pm

Hailing from the NJ/Philadelphia area Nick has been in Radio since 1981. He has been happily married to his lovely wife Michelle, for 25 years now. He is the father of 3 and has one grandson. Nick and his wife have also helped many children in the foster care system over the years and were even named Foster Parents of the year when they lived in Georgia. Real Country Music is what Nick and his wife love, and he even proposed to his wife at a Garth Brooks concert. Nick has worked on-air in Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Chattanooga, Atlanta and Las Vegas before joining the Real Country team here in Arizona. Nick was also a Nationally Syndicated Sports Talk Host heard on almost 100 stations while broadcasting from Las Vegas. Country radio though is where Nick got his start, and it has always been close to his heart. Nick has interviewed many famous country music personalities like Kenny Rogers, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and many more. He says he remembers the first time he got to introduce a performer at a major concert, it was the late great Kenny Rogers in Philadelphia. Nick said that’s not something he will ever forget. While Nick has spoken with and interviewed many larger-than-life personalities the one thing he says he cherishes most of all is getting to talk to his listeners each and every day.

Chris Adams – SATURDAY 2pm to 6pm

SUNDAY 2pm to 7pm

After hearing only one episode of American Top 40 with Casey Kasem in January 1982, Chris Adams was hooked.  Chris devoted his teenage years to three things: music classes at school, memorizing all the chart and artist statistics he learned from Casey, and crafting a voice for radio. Need to know anything about’80s music? Need one more person to complete your music trivia team? Chris Adams is your guy. While still in college at Belmont University in Nashville, Chris made an air-check tape at a local college radio station. It ended up in the hands of the Program Director, and within weeks Chris began his radio career and soon married his college sweetheart, Erika. Chris and Erika have three children, a daughter-in-law and a grandson with whom Chris is sharing his love of boxing!

SCOTTY B – SATURDAY 6pm to 11pm

You’ve heard of Parts Unknown? The Southern Fried Maniac Scotty B is from parts…. ohhhh you don’t wanna know. But since you have clicked on this page, you are going to find out where he is from. He is from the armpit of Florida also known on the map as Taylor County, FL. 50 miles south east of the capitol AKA Tallahassee, FL, The Redneck Riviera! He has been in the radio Biz for over 30 years. He has an open mind when it comes to music. His favorite genre’s are Outlaw Country, Rock N roll , and 80’s Rock. Tune in every Saturday night to the Southern Fried Maniac Scotty B on KSWG 96.3 Real Country.

Rob – SUNDAY 6am to 10am

Rob is a Hall of Fame broadcaster who has a deep passion for country music. He counts George Strait, Dierks Bentley, and Miranda Lambert among his favorite artists. In addition to his love for music, Rob is a professional voice-over talent, lending his voice to commercials for well-known brands like Centex Homes, Cox, Garmin, and Six Flags. He takes pride in being an uncle to three and enjoys watching football, karaoke, cooking, and spending quality time with his wife of 20 years.

TRACY LAWRENCE – SUNDAY 7PM to 10pm

As one of the most recognizable voices in country music history, it’s only appropriate that a man whose career was launched on a radio show, “Live at Libby’s,” returns to the studio for his own show. Tracy Lawrence is bringing his new syndicated radio show, Honky Tonkin with Tracy Lawrence, to Real Country 96.3.

Erika Smith Royal – On-Air Personality

Erika grew up in northern Arizona and central Texas.  She is a former Hashknife Rodeo Queen and professional barrel racer. She worked for Atlantic Records in Los Angeles for 9 years after graduating from ASU with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She returned to the valley to work in radio at various stations as a mid-day on-air personality and music director. She loves country music and her favorite artists are Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert.  Her most cherished item is a duster autographed by Emmylou Harris. 

W. Steven Martin – Special Events

W. Steven Martin started his Country radio career as Morning Drive host at KRDS, Tolleson, Arizona. Despite his remarkable radio career, he is best known for his many Humanitarian achievements, especially his Christmas toy drive which he started in 1978 and continues to be one of the largest charitable endeavors in Phoenix to this day. W. Steven Martin was inducted into the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame in 2003.
