There are severalSEPTIEMBREopportunities like quiz bowls and speech contests to help the youth develop their presentation and communication skills. Maricopa County has hosted the FCSSEPTEMBER 5, 2020county and state events for several years now. Not only do youth learn to master their project skill, they learn a plethora of other skills and receive feedback from41 STANNUALjudges to help them improve. Some 4-H students participate in teams and are BLUEGRASS coached by a volunteer or parent. These youth spend hours preparing, studying,FESTIVALand perfecting their speeches, presentations, and projects.
