Seventeen campers showed up for the weekend of riding, camping, and dining at the pavilion.On day one, Friday, Trish took the campers on a two-plus hour ride down the beautiful shade tree dry river.served a delicious dinner of steak, The trees were putting on their spring leaves, and it was achicken, and salmon with all little cool and breezy.the sides, including chili, baked On day two, Jane and Deb led the ride with 15 riderspotatoes, vegetables, and more. along the Linda Logan Trail, north on the side of theFor dessert, it was apple pie with river to marker 75. The Black Canyon Trailagain saddled up for one more day of riding. Riders was well-traveled and good for the horse's footing. Itcrossed the road outside of the Bumble Bee entrance was not very rocky, and the views were amazing alongand took pictures. We then headed to the Black Canyon the side of the mountain. We spotted one deer andtrail traveling south along the side of the mountain many quail, which sometimes makes for an exciting ridewith more beautiful views. This ride was about 2on a spooked horse, but everything turned out good.hours long. We checked out some more of the dry river Riders arrived back at camp around 2:00 and relaxedbottom, circled back to the ranch, and then loaded up after the 4-hour ride. Club members started arriving atour horses to head back home. A great safe weekend was the pavilion around 5:00 p.m. where Kelly and her crewenjoyed by everyone.
