The 8-mile ride included the Bootlegger Trail and the Granite Mountain Loop Trail. Granite Mountain Trailhead boasts plenty of trailer parking and even supplies a container to dispose of the manure. We met multiple bikers and hikers along the route. Everyone was welcoming and followed trail protocol. My horse Guinness was happy to be in the lead The trails are so well manicured, well-groomed andfor a change. I did hear someone in the back of scenic. We couldn't have gotten lost if we tried. the group mention a snake, but I must have gone past it by then. FYI some of the riders saw the tail of the rattlesnake in the hole it had just entered. It had lots of buttons on its tail, so probably a large one! The weather was ideal and after our ride we made a unanimous decision that we should go to El Encanto Dos for something to eat since there is generous parking for equestrians there. All twelve of us caravanned our trailers to El Encanto Dos on the Carefree Highway in Phoenix for some delicious food and drink.
