ArizonaRealCountry.com 47 September 2018 WITH THE DOG DAYS of summer upon us, I thought this would be a good time to  have everyone catch up on the Club's latest news happenings and we need feedback from you, the Club members. For news starters, Michele and Adam Wilson's Rancho Micada in Desert Hills was hit by a microburst in July. They lost their mare motel along with some fencing. Fortunately, neither they nor their horses were injured in the storm.  At the end of July, Liz Potof and Gail Gray flew to Santa Barbara to see the Los Amigos Show. What a fun trip!!!! One of the highlights was watching Oscar Quijandria ride Coralina, Michele Wilson's young mare in training with Oscar. Performing in a pleasure class, Coralina received second place and that made Michele's day. Pictures of Coralina's win will be on the CSPPC Facebook page. Two more shows coming up are the Cactus Classic at Westworld in September and our Peruvian Paso Nationals in Glen Rose, Texas October 12th through14th. There are also several Peruvian Paso shows in California in late summer and early fall. The BOD is looking into a GO FUND ME sponsorship for the Nationals. More on this as the Club plans its schedule. In order to be recognized as a Club Sponsor, we will need to, again, send NAPHA $300 to secure our classes. Last but not least we are planning a clinic with Nicole Brass (Horse Trainer and Horse Whisperer) from Hailey, Idaho. It will be in October with the exact date to be determined. You can go on Facebook and look up Nicole Brass Training Center. She is making quite a name for herself from coast to coast in the Peruvian world.
