As always, check the Club’s Facebook page for the most up to date information. A “Meet and Greet” will be scheduled on November 11th at BEL Peruvians in Scottsdale. Members are urged to invite friends who have in interest in gaited horses. A potluck lunch will be available. The annual Christmas party will be held on January 6th, the first Saturday after New Years. Always a fun time, club members and guests will again savor holiday foods and take part in a White Elephant gift exchange. Scheduled for February, Nicole Brass will be here for a seminar. As a long time trainer, she will give her insight on the gaited horse and how to find the right horse for the right rider. In March, Oscar Quijandria, owner of Fortaleza Ranch in Winchester CA with his wife Carol, will give us some of the finer points of show ring protocol and trail riding. His life as a youngster in Peru is a delightful story that he recounts with a happy smile. Liz Potof and Michele Wilson recently traveled to California, with Michele checking on her mare, MCA Coralina. The Quijandria’s ranch is the home of not only Peruvian horses but also other breeds. Set in the agricultural community of Winchester, the ranch is a serene place where daily training is carried out calmly and confidently. Next month we’ll give you the details of the US National Show, which is being held October 20-22 in Fort Worth. Go to www.NAPHA.net for more information. Our picture this month is a “Blast from the Past” photo of JOR Norte y Sur. Well known for strength and gait, this stallion is noted as one of the premier sires of the Peruvian breed. Norte y Sur is the sire of Liz Potof’s mare, Estrella de Mayo. Join CSPPC on our Facebook page and like us. We look forward to hearing from you. If you have questions or comments, please call Liz at 602-799-4913 or Michele at 602-540-2135. News from Copper State PERUVIAN PASO CLUB JOR Norte y Sur
