Next time you get on your computer put in this web address: youtube.com/watch?v=xB5ceAruYrI and tell me it made you smile. The other day at a restaurant I was complaining about some aches and pains and a lady overheard me. She leaned over and said, “Sonny, I am 98 years old and it doesn’t get any better.” After she said that I thought I better get more accomplished now. It started me thinking about what I wanted to get done, who I wanted to meet, what I wanted to see, who I could help and what worries, that I couldn’t do anything about, really could be packed away because they were taking up space in my head. Most people that know me already think I have a lot of wasted space up there anyway. The brains in our family lie mostly with my wife and kids but they tolerate me and try to lift my intellect up when possible. For me, my days are filled with trying to have a good time. That’s why I bought a radio station and magazine. How can you not have fun playing the best Country Music, attending the most spectacular events, concerts and meeting awesome people? We’ve had the pleasure of Bill and Roberta, my wife ’s parents, visiting us the past three weeks from their home at Diamond Lake Ranch in Nebraska. Conversations have really been informative with some fantastic life stories being told. We heard about World War II, that Bill was in, ranching and how it has changed over the years, how they cured meat before electricity, talked about family members that we barely knew and those we have lost, told life stories and experiences that made us laugh, how Nebraska Football will do this year, Bill told jokes, we watched a little TV because on the ranch they only get 1 station, channel 12, the Nebraska Educational channel. Maybe that is a good thing? They also worked while visiting, picking oranges from our trees for us, rebuilding my attempt at garden boxes, helping roll and band shirts together for the Cave Creek parade and Roberta made a bunch of dinners for us. Most of all, we just spent time together, when we were not working. We had a Hakuna Matata three weeks. Clear some of those needless worries out of your head and have a Hakuna Matata April!!!
