Live life to the fullest!Guest Chef: Brown Apple BettySubmitted in memory of Patricia EibnerINGREDIENTS3 c. bread cubes1/3 c. melted butter3 c. tart apples1 1/4 light brown sugar1 t. cinnamon2 t. lemon juice1/3 c. waterDIRECTIONSCut day old bread into cubes. Mix bread cubes with melted butter. Peel apples and slice thin. Mix light brown sugar and cinnamon. Arrange alternate layers of bread cubes and apples in a greased baking dish, sprinkling each layer with part of sugar mixture and lemon juice. Top with butteredbread cubes. Add water.
