The annual contest takes place at the Arizona National Livestock Show (ANLS) in Phoenix, Arizona each December. The hands-on skills contest is open to 4H and FFA aged (8-19) youth from across the country. In 2019, there were 60 contestants, some from as far away as Indiana, most from across our great state of Arizona.The contest lasts for approximately three hours, as the youth move from station to station and test their knowledge on an individual and team basis.
