His place was one of the few places that actually had creeks with Drafts, Drinks, and Appetizerswater and those were a treat to ride through. We get to the neighbors place and as weKARAOKE Every Thu. and Sat. from 7pm-11pm are pairing Grandpa looks at me and says, You come with me. WowI was my grandpasPOOL TOURNAMENT on Sundays atpartner for that morning.2pmCall to sign up!TO-GO Orders The one unspoken rule was never to be late. If a feller was late, the chances of the other 27200 S State Hwy 89 Congress, AZ 85332 Cowboys being saddled and gone were very good. The other unspoken rule was a feller was expected to keep up with the partner or group and have his head in the job at all 928-427-6355 times. As I followed my grandpa, we got to a good size creek, about 4 feet deep, probably 70 feet wide. I watched as my grandpa crossed the creek and I saw his horse struggle some going up the bank on the other side. My turnI was excited to cross the creek, but I did not want to get my boots wet so I put my legs up on the swell of the saddle. Things were Rusty Rooster going well, I was getting across pretty good, but as my horse started to go up the bank he slipped and thrashed. Instead of giving him his head, I pulled on the reins and brought him over backward. Underwater we go, my horse is thrashing to get up and I am trying to push the horse off me and get out from under him. I remember thinking there was no one behind me and Grandpa was probably on his way to look for the cattle. I pushed harder and my horse thrashed trying to get up from the slippery creek. I felt the weight of my horse lifted off and I stood up and tried to get away from the scared horse. What did I see; well, my grandpa had roped my horse and pulled him off, which allowed me to get up. I saw my horse walk up the bank. I walked up and took the reins. I looked my grandpa in the eyes and all he said is Get on. I got on and we rode to look for the cattle we were trying to round up.How many times in life are we thrashing and struggling and the Lord is there to save us? In life, the Lord is looking out for us and is there to help us when we need him. As my grandpa did that day, he looked after me and helped me, but did not make a big deal of the situation. The Lord does the same thing, when he helps us there are no neon lights or horns blowing, with a loving hand he is going to reach out and help and keep us in the Happyjourney of life.
