This year, 4-H Camp is set for July 12-15 at James 4-H Camp east of Prescott Valley. Sign-up today to get your child in on all of the amazing fun! 4-H Camp is a four-day, three-night residential camping experience that is sponsored by University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Maricopa County Office. Sending your child to 4-H Camp can benefit them in many ways, such as they will have a ton of fun, make new friends, develop new skills, be physically active, and gain an appreciation for nature. 4-H Camp is about way more than one week of fun, it’s about a lifetime of memories. 4-H Camp G.R.I.T. teaches youth to make good decisions, builds their self-confidence, helps them become more independent, and teaches them to work well with others. In addition, our well-trained 4-H Camp Counselors devote over 60 hours of their time to training and planning to ensure our campers have the same great experience they did as a child. All campers attending 4-H Camp G.R.I.T. will check-in at the Maricopa County Extension Office in the afternoon of Thursday, July 12 and check-out in the evening of Sunday, June 15. During camp week, youth will engage in a variety of activities designed to challenge, educate, and entertain. Three free choice periods will be offered daily and will include options such as: arts and crafts, hiking, GPS navigation, archery, canoeing, and much more! Evening activities, planned by our teen counselors, include campfires, a scavenger hunt, and a talent show. It’s guaranteed to be a blast! 4-H Camp is open to ALL boys and girls, ages 9-14 by July 12, 2018. 4-H membership is not required; however, all participants will be expected to comply with the same high behavior standards expected of 4-H members. Cost is $225 now through April 30; $240 May 1 through June 15; and $255 June 18 through July 6. Any payments received after July 6 will be $270.
