An assortment of free games for the kids including hula hoops, water balloon and bean bag toss, coin guess, and others, kids can make authentic adobe bricks to take home, free hot dogs, nachos, watermelon, and lemonade, “squirt-down” courtesy of the Tubac Fire Department. Free. 10 am – noon. http://www.azstateparks.com FABULOUS PHOENIX 4TH Phoenix Features one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southwest. The non-alcoholic, family- oriented event annually attracts 100,000-plus participants. Included in this year’s event will be two stages featuring local entertainers, a variety of vendors offering festival-style food and beverage, arts and crafts, interactive exhibits and a classic car display. Youth activities, rides and inflatables, and a water spray zone will be part of Kids’ World. FIRECRACKER EXPRESS Clarkdale Celebrate our country’s birthday on one of the great institutions that helped to build it. Begin with an all-American barbecue then climb aboard our classic train decorated with our nation’s symbol, the bald eagle. Our nation’s symbol, the bald eagle, leads the route, its visage adorning mid-century American-built locomotives. On 4th of July the painted eagles will share the day with a live version aboard the train. The Firecracker Express proudly welcomes Sonora, a rescued, educational eagle from Liberty Wildlife. Sonora, the only train-riding bald eagle in the world, will visit each open-air car throughout the journey. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, from 10am until 5pm at the City’s Recreation Center pool, 100 S. Old Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park, Arizona. “Splash Bash” is open to the public and has become an annual community gathering for a day of family fun and renewed appreciation for our nation’sfreedoms.
