Stir in chocolate. Combine flour, salt, baking powder and nuts. Blend in chocolate mixture. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350˚ for 10 minutes. Cool on rack. Whip 1 c. whipping cream, 1/4 c. powdered sugar and 1/2 t. vanilla. Alternate layers of cookies and whipped cream. Top with cherry. MArinated Mushroom Salad INGREDIENTS Marinade: 1 c. olive oil 1/8 t. salt 1/2 c. tarragon wine vinegar 1/8 t. freshly ground pepper 1 t. dry mustard 1 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced 1 t. mixed dried oregano, thyme 1 med. size red onion, thinly sliced and basil, crumbled 1 med. celery stalk, finely chopped DIRECTIONS For marinade: Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix. Combine mushrooms, onion and celery in 3 qt. dish. Pour marinade over and toss. Cover and refrigerate overnight, stirring twice. Drain before serving.
