We made it to the windmill and this time around and Darwin was thewere happy to see we had water leader of the ride. Our goal was to ridefor the horses. A lot of times to the windmill out of Emery Hendersonit's dry, so it was a welcome Trailhead off New River Road. This is aboutsight. It was the perfect weather a 3 1/2-hour ride in total including somecombination of high clouds that downtime. We rode a ridge trail that feltcast the sun and a slight breeze like it was right out of a Western movie,to boot. Arizona is starting its thru gullies, along the way and thru someslowly cooling trend at last.gates to make our way there. Our riding group would probably rate it as a three out of five mainly dueBLM owns Emery Henderson Trailhead which gives access to some of the rockier parts of the trail and those darn chollato the Black Canyon National Recreation Trail. This historic clusters that we can't seem to get away from in the lowerNational Recreation Trail is of national significance, following desert areas. a route used since the times of Prehistoric Native American travelers and traders. Emery Henderson has plenty of asphalt We only encountered one rattlesnake. Truth be told, the firsttruck and trailer parking, some covered picnic tables, and horse wasn't even aware of the snake, but the second horsebathrooms (that are not always open).
