Skate on real ice on the resort’s Desert Ice Skating Rink and check out the musical Christmas tree light show featuring a 45 foot tree and 70,000 LED lights that “twinkle and dance” to 17 classic holiday songs. 4.5 million LED lights throughout the resort. Information at scottsdaleprincess.com TEMPE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS BOAT PARADE Tempe Town Lake Saturday, December 8 Tempe invites the community to take part in holiday cheer by gathering on the shores of Tempe Town Lake to watch the procession of festively decorated boats of all shapes and sizes. Santa Claus arrives in Tempe Beach Park by way of boat too. The parade is sponsored by SRP. Free admission. The stunning display of 1.5 million lights illuminates 16 blocks of Historic Downtown Glendale, making it the largest free holiday light display in Arizona. 5 to 11 pm nightly.
